Barite famously known as heavy spar is one of the most common barium minerals. Its chemical name is Barium Sulfate (BaSO4). Barite is majorly found in sedimentary rocks such as limestones, hydrothermal ore veins, in clay deposits, marine deposits in igneous rock. The specific gravity, or weight per unit volume, is 4 to 5. Barites can occur in numerous colors; white, brown, yellow, red and gray are most common. The colors are the result of impurities such as iron, strontium and lead, and mineral contaminants such as clay and sand. The ore is selected and the process by CMS INDUSTRIES is controlled for one or more of the following properties: color, particle size, specific gravity and bulk density.
APPLICATIONS:
- Oil field drilling muds
- Paper, cement, rubber and urethane foams
- Paint and powder coatings
- Friction products
WHY CMS INDUSTRIES?
- Barite offered by us helps in a reduction in surface energy which provides gloss and shine to the surface and enhances the wooden artifacts.
- Barite increases the hydrostatic pressure of the drilling mud allowing it to compensate for high-pressure zones experienced during drilling.
- One of the major and vital applications of Barite is the weighting agent in oil well drilling fluids to suppress high pressure that results from well drilling operations.
- The product offered by CMS is high-grade Barite mineral which is produced from ultra- modern technology.
